Acknowledging the land and the people who have always cared for it - and the artist whose work shapes our visual identity.

Land Acknowledgement
PROTECT Canada acknowledges that we work across the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of Indigenous Peoples across Canada. We recognize the ongoing presence and contributions of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities, and the role that colonization has played in creating the systemic conditions that disproportionately harm Indigenous children.
Our commitment to reconciliation is not a statement, it is embedded in our work. Indigenous perspectives and culturally appropriate approaches are integrated into every pillar of the PROTECT Canada framework, and Indigenous organizations are core coalition partners across all six working groups.
Artist Acknowledgement
The artwork that is part of PROTECT Canada’s visual identity was created by Indigenous artist Chris Chipak. We are grateful for this contribution and for the way it reflects the spirit of strength, resilience, and protection that guides our work.
